Our Sacred Duty

Abraham Lincoln 1

“It is my sacred duty,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, to speak to the two houses in Congress on March 3. “The greatest danger facing humanity is if a militant Islamic regime arms itself with nuclear weapons.” Is it not our duty to do our part? Abraham Lincoln said, “Uphold the truth … as God gives us to see the right”. “For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it be good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14.

As told by Julie Stahl, CBN News Mideast Correspondent, Netanyahu states that the current deal that the United States and P5+1 powers are working on with Iran would enable Iran to break out with a serious nuclear device in “an unacceptably short time.” It would also allow Iran to develop an “industrial capability” to enrich uranium that could “provide the fuel for many bombs in the coming years. A regime that openly calls for Israel’s destruction would thus have finally the means to realize its genocidal aims.”

The deadline for reaching a nuclear decision is March 24. Pat Robertson stated on 700 Club, February 24, some members of congress are deciding whether to be at congress that day to listen to Netanyahu. Possible president hopeful Governor Mike Huckabee said, “What happens to Israel is a warm up act for what is intended for the United States. It was Iran who said, ‘Israel is the little satan, but America is the big satan.’ How can we not see that? How can we not understand that the ultimate target is not Israel?”

How worried is President Obama about this Iran threat? On February 5, at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Obama said, “And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.  In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Regarding the beheading of twenty-one Egyptian Christians, President Obama’s press secretary states, “The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya …”

The White House avoids mentioning that these twenty-one Libyans were killed because of their Christian beliefs. CBN, 700 Club, Gordon Robertson warns, “The threat of persecution is closer to us than you think.”

The New York Post shows a picture of Obama with his eyes blindfolded. The caption reads “Islamic Terror? I don’t see it.”

I pray you feel it is your “sacred duty” to do your part in informing family and friends. The deadline for reaching an agreement with Iran is March 24 and Netanyahu will speak before congress on March 3. Call your senator and congressman, make sure they plan to listen to Netanyahu, and encourage them to vote for Israel’s and American’s welfare.

Rev. 20:4 “I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus.”

2Chronicles 7:14  “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
